Looking at the group with Thunderbird (as many folk do!) your answers
appear merged with the article text. Confusing for some folk I'm sure.
Just thought I'd mention it in case you were unaware.
So it's on topic "because you are having a technical
discussion on false-positives that ALL anti-malware softwares have
these days" ?

I'm having trouble spotting it in your post. Please point out
the relevant parts.

It was Dustin who cross-posted to 'alt.comp.freeware' claiming that
there is a free version of Malwarebytes.

He said ...

"I added two additional newsgroups to my reply as I feel due to the
nature of the software being discussed, it's appropriate. It *does*
have a freeware version, so it's on topic for alt.comp.freeware as
well."

He didn't mention that there is a completely free version of
Malwarebytes for Apple computers (it uses a different 'engine' which
they bought from a developer)

See: https://www.malwarebytes.com/pricing/mac/

Here's an interesting thread from the ASC where Malwarebytes was
recently discussed:-

https://discussions.apple.com/message/33256645?ac_cid=tw123456#33256645

In a post which was subsequently deleted from that thread ...

"Kurt Lang wrote: Last I heard from Thomas, he is still the only person
working on it. So, for all intents and purposes, it’s still AdwareMedic.
MalwareBytes is a large company. Clearly there is more than one person
working on it. MalwareBytes is also significantly different than
AdwareMedic. This thread bears testament to that fact. The statement I
made above was completely factual and needs no clarification."

According to his 'Bio', Thomas is now Director of Mac & Mobile,
Malwarebytes https://discussions.apple.com/people/thomas_r.

Yes, he was discussing freeware, hence ON topic. Your post was
NOT.

According to his 'Bio' <snip>
You know who looks at bio's? Stalkers do. Normal people *might*, but
stalkers head straight there, like stoners who head straight for the
potato chip aisle at the supermarket.

I thought it was weird to even *mention* a bio on Usenet,
until I saw who posted. He'll probably be asking people to "look into"
yet another stalking target for him.

Why would I have mentioned it? It's not *really* Malwarebytes. It's
another program they absorbed, like the borg. rofl.
